About
Dr. Lia Kasapi is a Senior Clinical Embryologist and the Embryology Lab Director at EmbryoClinic IVF in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she has been lab director and clinical embryologist since 2017. She previously worked as a senior clinical embryologist at other IVF centres. Her areas of expertise include embryology, pre-implantation genetic testing, in vitro maturation and IVF/ICSI. She earned a BSc in Biology from the Università degli Studi di Siena in 2003 and a PhD from the Democritus University of Thrace in 2018, with a thesis on factors that affect the in vitro maturation of oocytes. She has been a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and of the Panhellenic Society of Clinical Embryologists (PEKE) since 2004. She speaks Greek, English and Italian.
