About Memorial Şişli Hospital IVF & Reproductive Genetics Center
At Memorial Sisli the fertility service is set up as an IVF and Reproductive Genetics Centre, placing the clinic alongside embryology, andrology and research laboratories and a genetic diagnosis unit under one roof, a combination Memorial states no other Turkish centre has. Its IVF laboratory was accredited to the ISO 15189 medical laboratory standard, the first in Turkey and the ninth in Europe to reach it. The centre is headed by Prof. Dr. Semra Kahraman, credited with obtaining Turkey's first pregnancy by ICSI and with bringing a succession of assisted-reproduction techniques into the country.
