About Jiangsu Province Hospital Reproductive Medicine Centre
The reproductive medicine centre at Jiangsu Province Hospital β also the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University β serves as the clinical arm of China's National Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and was among the first units licensed by the Ministry of Health to perform assisted reproduction. It is divided into seven units, including a dedicated IVF laboratory, a minimally invasive surgery centre and a mild-stimulation programme, and carries out roughly 6,000 egg-collection cycles a year. Some 34 clinical and laboratory staff work there, and the centre doubles as a national ART training base and the provincial quality-control centre for infertility care.
