About
Dr. Vicken Sahakian is Chief Medical Officer at Pacific Fertility Center Los Angeles, which he joined in 1993, and has been its medical director since 1998. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology with distinction and, in 1987, a medical degree with honors from the American University of Beirut. He completed residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill, where he researched endometriosis. He taught at UCLA's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 10 years. His focus includes same-sex couples, social infertility and advanced maternal age, including egg donation. He belongs to ACOG and ASRM and speaks Arabic, Armenian, English and French.
