About
Dr. Andrea Bernabeu has been Medical Director of Instituto Bernabeu since 2024, having served as Medical Co-Director since 2018. Since 2015 she has also been a gynaecologist and coordinator of the Genetics and Reproduction Guidance Unit at Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante. She earned her medical degree from Miguel Hernández University in Alicante in 2009 and her doctorate there in 2014 with cum laude distinction. She qualified as a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona, in 2014, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship there in antenatal diagnosis, reproduction assessment and high-risk obstetrics, and postdoctoral research at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (2016–2018). She is a university associate professor in the Chair of Reproductive and Community Medicine at Miguel Hernández University, lectures on the University of Alicante's master's in reproductive medicine, and received the 2017 FRM Young Investigator Award.
