About Centro Demetra Firenze
Opened in 1994 on Via Giulio Caccini, the Florence site is the original clinic from which the wider Demetra network grew, and it remains one of its two full assisted reproduction centres alongside Ponte San Pietro near Bergamo. Two theatres are set aside — one for egg collection and transfer, one for surgical sperm recovery and gynaecological surgery — with the embryology laboratory split into two sectors opening directly onto them. Treatment can be taken privately, at regulated reduced rates, or under agreement with the national health service.
