About Ars Medica Fertility Centre Podgorica
Montenegro's IVF programme at Ars Medica in Podgorica opened on 12 December 2003, completed its first treatment cycle in February 2004 and saw its first baby born that November, followed in November 2006 by the country's first birth from a frozen embryo. Prof. Dr Aleksandar Ljubić, previously director of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic at Serbia's Clinical Centre, leads the programme, which offers conventional IVF, ICSI, intrauterine insemination, vitrification of embryos at minus 196 degrees and freezing of sperm and testicular tissue. The surrounding private hospital also covers dentistry, plastic surgery, cardiology and thoracic surgery.
