Dr. Susana Cortés is director of laboratories and a senior embryologist at Clínica Tambre in Madrid. She studied biology and holds a doctorate in biological sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (1998); her master's and doctoral theses were carried out in the animal reproduction department of INIA, Spain's National Institute for Agricultural Research. She has worked in assisted reproduction since 1998, initially with Dr. Caballero Peregrín, and has been an embryologist at Clínica Tambre for more than 20 years. She holds the European Certificate in Human Embryology (2008, recertified 2012) and a national certificate in human embryology (2011). She speaks Spanish, English and Italian.
